Secunderabad railway station became the first in South Central Railway and the sixth across the Indian Railways to offer free WiFi to passengers for a half an hour duration.

This facility was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya in the presence of Rama Rao and SCR General Manager PK Srivastava on Tuesday…..on the occasion, the Telangana Minister for Information Technology KT Rama Rao announced that in a year’s time, the City of Pearls would turn into a WiFi hub, a much-awaited announcement that was made as soon as the new State was carved out of Andhra Pradesh.
