Telangana Chief minister KCR announced a series of boons to the Anganwadi workers in the state. In pragathi bhavan he discussed their problems with them. Besides their problems, measures for strengthening and improving Aanganwadi were also came up for discussion.

The CM announced that once again the salaries of Anganwadi workers and their assistants would be hiked. The Aanganwadi workers will get 10,500 and the assistants 6000 rupees. It was felt to improve the delivery cases in Government hospitals and that removal of uterus incidence is on the raise though it is unwarranted in many cases. The actions in some private hospitals are illogical and unethical it is opined. The proposals of giving 12000 rupees in three instalments and 13000 in case of girl child are under examination, it was told.
