The month of February is still on but the heat waves are already scorching both the Telugu States. Thermometers are tipped to hit 45 Celsius in the coming days while long-range forecasts predict a heat wave across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and months of roasting weather.

Mahbubnagar in Telangana recorded the highest day temperature of 40.5 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours. The State is witnessing hot and sultry weather conditions early in the pre-summer days, going by the temperatures recorded so far during the last week. In Hyderabad it is 38 degrees said K Nagaratna, Director (forecast), Met department, Hyderabad. 

The telangana government is even planning to send SMS alerts to people to help them prepare for heat waves.
