MUMBAI: The Indian badminton super star and 2016 Rio Olympics silver medalist PV Sindhu received two awards at the Mahindra Scorpio Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) in Mumbai on Monday, including the Sportsperson of the Year Award.

Sindhu also won the Jury's Choice for Badminton Player of the Year following a stunning 2016 in which she won an Olympic silver, she claimed her first China Open Super Series and the Malaysia Masters, apart from finishing second at the Hong Kong Super Series. This is Sindhu's third TOISA award.
