India were bowled out for 274 in the second innings of the second Test at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, setting a target of 188 for Australia.
Bowling on a day-four track, Australians pacers devoured India with top-drawer swing-bowling and took the last 6 wickets in 13 overs, thanks to Josh Hazlewood‘s 6th five-wicket haul and his second against India.
However, had Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane not added 118 for the fifth wicket, India would have stared down the barrel. Credit also goes to KL Rahul, who scored his third half-century of the series. Mitchell Starc, on the other hand, ended with figures of 2 for 74.
With 188 as target Australian batsmen started off well but lost two early wickets in the form of Renshaw and Warner, One each to Ishant Sharma and Ashwin.
