In the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Board meeting held on Saturday, a series of major decisions were taken, concerning various aspects related to the game.
In principle, it was agreed at the Chief Executive (CEC) Meeting that there would be a consistent use of Decision Review System (DRS) across frontiers and formats.
DRS also will be used in the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in England in June this year, for all televised matches at the ICC's Women's World Cup and for the first time in upcoming World Twenty20 tournaments. In the World T20, each team will get one review per game.
However, after 2017, for any technology to be added to the DRS system, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has to approve it.
