Hashim Amla celebrated his 100th Test with a long awaited return to form, as his unbeaten century and JP Duminy's 155 stamped South Africa's authority on the third Test against Sri Lanka at the Wanderers.
Amla overcame a difficult period before lunch, when he was dropped on five, to register his 26th Test hundred and finish the day unbeaten on 125. His 292-run partnership for the third wicket with Duminy carried the hosts to stumps on a dominant 338 for 3 on day 1. Amla became just the eighth batsman to score a century in his 100th Test, and the second South African.
