Governor E S L Narasimhan, for the very first time, visited the new Secretariat building of AndhraPradesh which is being constructed at Velagapudi village in Guntur district, the village is located about 25 km from Vijayawada.
Narasimhan earlier in this week requested Naidu to visit Raj Bhavan to talk about the issue of High Court division. Chandrababu Naidu had questioned him why he had not called for a meeting on the division of assets of institutions under Section 9 even after Supreme Court’s directive. Naidu said that Governor needs to be very active on issues regarding to both the states and can not be partial to one state government. Naidu also said that he do not have time to visit Hyderabad and then narasimhan himself offered to come all the way to AP.
The Governor is accompanied by CM Chandrababu Naidu and few ministers. The Governor Narasimhan while speaking to media said that the secretariat is being constructed with modern concept and proper planning. Chandrababu Naidu and Narasimhan had a two hour meeting on disputes between AP and Telangana at the latter’s residence at Undavalli.
