A soldier wounded in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir succumbed to his injuries. Havildar Charanjeet Singh on Tuesday suffered bullet injuries during a ceasefire violation by Pakistan on Indian Army posts in Jammu and Kashmir's Sunderbani sector.
He was immediately taken to the Military Hospital and was provided intensive medical care. However, despite all efforts made by the doctors, Singh succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday morning. Singh, who hails from Kalsian village in Rajouri district, is survived by his wife Neelam Kumari. The mortal remains of Singh will be brought to his native village to bid farewell to the soldier with full military honours.
