A fire broke out in a vehicle at Haridwar-Meerut highway in Meerut on Saturday. Thick black smoke was seen billowing out from the car. No injury has been reported in the incident so far.

The cause of the fire has not been ascertained as of now. Fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the flames. The fire has been doused now. It is not clear how many people were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. Traffic was affected for some time but it became normal.
