South Korea's unification ministry said that it will continue to urge North Korea to come out for talks to discuss follow-up measures to their recent summit agreements. It further said that it will ensure that inter-Korean peace treaty also known as Panmunjom Declaration is implemented. The government reaffirms its commitment to implement the declaration and also urges the North to respond to the high-level talks," it added. Acting as a blow to the improving inter-Korean relations, North Korea unilaterally canceled the agreed-upon high-level talks slated for the same day. North Korea disapproved the on-going military drills between South Korea and the United States.
