The central government have passed a law that allows shops, malls and cinema halls and other sectors, to run 24x7 throughout the year which received cabinet approval on Wednesday.

This model is does not require parliament's approval said officials. It is said that this law will provide more employment for workers as the establishments have flexibility to operate for longer hours and need more manpower this year.

Establishments with 10 or more workers will be covered under this law and will be provided freedom to operate entire year with flexibility of timings. The law excludes manufacturing units and other related establishments. The law provides flexibility for women to be employed on night shifts with better security and with better working conditions for employees such as drinking water, first aid.

The Centre has been receiving suggestions from time to time to enact the model law, which the states could consider for enforcement either by adopting the central law or necessary modification by the state law. your social media marketing partner
