Sydney: Having watched England's thumping loss against India in a 5 match test series, where England had only managed to draw a single test while suffered a series defeat of 4-0, Australian captain Steve Smith is "under no illusions" that the four match Test series against Virat Kohli's men starting February 23, will be an easy one.

Australia thrashed Pakistan 3-0 in home conditions but Smith is extremely cautious on what to expect when they challenge the world No 1 Test team on their own backyard especially after their disastrous last tour in 2013 when they were blanked 0-4 by the class on Indian spinners.

"It's obviously not going to be an easy series. We are under no illusions that it's not going to be tough. We should play some very good cricket if we want to compete over there. It's going to be a great challenge and learning curve for this young team," Smith said reporters here. Smith was part of the team that toured India in 2013.
